Left Unheard
![]() ![]() ![]() Ballad
The Night Of December 31st
That night we had, was so much fun.
Doing what we could, with our convictions.
What we shared, I now feel we're one,
Overcoming all our conditions.
Keeping you up, with all I had,
The friendship we had, brought us together.
That decision, makes me feel glad,
Member that night, for now, as for ever.
Hand-in-hand, felt so close to you,
Doing what we could, with our conditions.
Writing down, everything we knew,
Overcoming our convictions.
Can you remember, late that night.
Glad those decisions, weren't today's mistake.
Countdown to the New Year, now insight,
I now can see, those feelings weren't fake.
December thirty first, you-and-I,
Doing what we could, with our conditions.
If I were asked, there would be no lie,
Our love, 'gainst our convictions.
This next poem isn't much of a ballad, actually, its called a "shakesperean" something or another. I don't personally care for Shakespear, so I didn't really enjoy making this poem, until I started working through it, and it turned out really good. I got the point across pretty well....DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE!
Same Old Me
Look in the mirror, You don't look so good;
Starving yourself, To gain acceptance.
Saying you look good, That its your last chance-
To be the person, That you know you COULD.
Look at your boyfriend, He's treating you wrong;
This personality, Just isn't you.
You are an adult, Your teens years are through,
Telling us you'd change, And its taken long.
Thirty years old, And live with your parents,
Compromise your faith, For the life you lead.
Decide what to do with your SO-CALLED life?
Lying on your back, Go with the current,
Wash away your life, These cuts make you bleed;
Look in the mirror, Let go of the knife!
